what a relief. our bread machine bit the dust last month and i thought i was going to have to replace it. i saw this replacement belt and decided to give it a try. i took the bottom pannel off of the bottom of the bread machine and low and behold the belt was worn out. it took about 10 days to get the replacement and about 15 minutes total to repair. i was making bread that night.

This machine was so great while it lasted. I almost always used the dough setting and shaped and baked the loaves myself. I was baking about 2 lbs of bread every 3 weeks or so. It was delicious and so simple. The numbers are hard to read, but that was a small price to pay.

However, after about 9 months of use, I find my machine no longer mixes the dough properly. In my last 3-4 batches, the dough did not mix well and bubbled over the sides. I still use the machine to start off the process but have to pull it out mid-cycle and knead it by hand. What a mess. Only slightly more convenient than doing it myself. I say, spend the extra money and get a bread machine that will last you. Now I have to figure out if its worth it for me to invest in a new one.

We had been hesitant to purchase a bread machine as reviews for all products range from wonderful to horrid. We finally decided on the West Bend 41200 because of the low price, the flexibility of multiple size loaves and the additional dough and jam features.In the month since purchase, we have used the bread machine 10 times, making 4 different types of breads ranging from traditional white to beer/jalapeno/cheese, sweet breads, pizza dough and jam. We have no complaints. Using the bread machine is actually easier than you are led to believe. All recipes say you must measure exactly, only use the ingredients listed and follow step by step. This is not true. We have modified recipes slightly by adding/reducing liquid if the dough or the proportions do not seem proper, we have substituted ingredients; using all-purpose flour, not bread flour; substituting an equal amount of skim milk in place of the water and dry milk; etc. We find no appreciable difference in the quality of the product. Focus Electrics, owner of the West Bend name, has a wonderful recipe book on their website: [...]We are so pleased with the West Bend 41200 we will be purchasing many more for wedding and holiday gifts.

Making bread in this machine was even easier than I thought. As a baking neophyte, I purchased this girl thinking that it would provoke a curiosity within me to pursue baking other concoctions. It’s had the opposite effect. I feel like a first class passenger peacefully resting while my pilot delivers me to my vacation playground. All I had to do was check in, walk through the terminal and conform to my seat. Assuming that you can properly measure ingredients and read an instruction manual, I don’t see how this machine will disappoint. Since purchasing this last month we have cranked out 10 loaves, 3 pizza crusts and it has consistently performed flawlessy each time. Only improvement that I would urge, would be to make the bread pan longer than what is provided. If your aim is for easy, no-fuss baking then buy yourself one of these.

I am an experience bread machine user having owned several bread machines over the past 25 years. My TR2200 Breadman Ultimate died last week. I do have a spare one for backup use.

I decided to buy a new machine to accompany my spare one. I bought the TR2500BC Stainless steel. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK! It is cheaply made, noisy, the pan is much smaller than the original machines and the paddle sticks in the baked loaf of bread even when sprayed with cooking spray.

I have made 3 loaves of bread using my original recipes and one that came with the machine. They are mis-shaped, under baked with a doughy texture and heavy as lead. I am returning this piece of junk to Target tomorrow.

I am so sorry they discontinued the TR2200 machine, it was a real work horse. I loved it so much I bought my 2 daughters each one and recommended it to my 3 Aunts who purchased them. Now I am not sure what to purchase. I dread experimenting with different brands of machines only to be disappointed again.

Sorry but I can not give the TR2500BC a favorable rating. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Bought my machine a month ago to bake whole grain breads with low salt content. Did my homework and this machine was rated best bang for the buck. It has not disappointed. Very happy with the breads I have created and this machine is a no-brainer for two people with little free time. If I get a couple of years of service out of this unit, it will be worth the price of admission into the world of fresh, wholesome bread.

I bought this bread machine on May 15, 2009 online here at Amazon.com. I went with the free shipping so I received it about 10 days later. The product arrived with a 1.5 inch scratch on the front of the unit, but it didn’t affect the function of the unit so I was passive about paying full price for a damaged unit. It didn’t seem worth the hassle.

I used the bread machine about weekly and made bread and dough for pizza and cinnamon rolls. It worked nicely, but I found it difficult to neatly cut the bread in the loaf pan included in the bread machine so I switched to using it to prepare the dough and then I would take it out and allow it to rise the final time in a loaf pan and then I cooked it in the oven. The size of a regular loaf pan is much easier to cut nicely.

Unfortunately this past weekend (June 27) this bread machine stopped working. I tried different outlets and giving it time to recoup between trying to use it. Amazon.com reported it was past the time of my return window (it ended June 22) so I was stuck dealing with the company on the bread machine.

I called Breadman (ACP) today and they don’t have this model, but have a similar model on BACKORDER that I they will send me. What I have to do is write a letter and include the cord from the bread machine. They said to cut it right off. Then I need to ship through a “trackable” method. When asked to define what trackable meant and what they wanted me to do with it, they said that confirmation of delivery was fine. They do not send you a no postage paid address slip. I have to be inconvenienced and pay for shipping. And wait for a product that is similar to the one I purchased that is on BACKORDER. Then they told me I had to pay for the shipping of the new product coming to me….. after explaining how unfair this was (and in my head knowing it will take forever for them to process the cord and letter I send them and put my name on the back order list and finally send me a replacement) they finally gave in and waived the shipping charges for the new product.

Happy when it worked, even though it came with a scratch. Very unhappy with the process that ensues when it stopped working.

I have never owned a bread machine before and received this model as a birthday gift. I am extremely happy with it so far. I’ve probably made about 10 loaves over the past couple months and I have never had a problem.

It would be nice if there was a “reset” button so that if you accidentally start a baking cycle and want to change the settings, you wouldn’t have to unplug the machine for ten minutes, but I can’t think of anything else I’d change.

I love this breadmaker. However, because of the shape - check the corners for flour residue. Just scrape with a spatula in the beginning.
It does make great bread with the crust you want.

I love having a bread machine. I think I misunderstood the concept of “quiet” because I think this is loud. It is my first bread machine so I have no comparison but my kitchen is separate from my TV room and it is disruptingly loud. My son came downstairs to see what noise was. On the other hand, I have made two loaves of bread that my family seems to love.
